Grk wine tour

Grk is an autochthonous Croatian grape sort out of which white wine of the same name is produced. It is grown mainly on the central Lumbardan field on the area of some 40 hectares. Sandy soil contributes to its quality. Grk is a  female  wine sort so it is always planted with the male “Plavac”  to enable pollination. It is not known whether the name derives from the bitter taste or the old Greeks who settled Lumbarda in the fourth and the third century before Christ bringing their own wine sort.

We will take you through Lumbardan vineyards making a couple of stops at interesting viewpoints and  winey where you will have the chance to try Grk. It is golden with a special nuance of green. Trust me, this is a unique opportunity to try the wine you can hardly get anywhere else!
